• Tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma) in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
• 24 years experience in a Data Analyst or BI Support role
• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills
• Proven experience with Power BI (data modelling, DAX, Power Query)
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query, data cleansing)
• Understanding of data governance and data privacy principles (POPIA)
• Exposure to Python and AI tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT (advantageous)
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

Job Duties

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines from SQL databases, Excel/CSV files, and other data sources
• Develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
• Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and KPI calculations
• Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of reports
• Support AI-assisted insight generation, including trend analysis and anomaly detection
• Translate business requirements into actionable BI dashboards and reports
• Collaborate closely with the BI Manager and business stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making
• Ensure adherence to reporting standards, data governance, and best practices
