Nation NXT College (NNC), Sifiso Learning Group’s teacher training institution, is seeking to appoint an experienced curriculum developer to design and produce high-quality, outcomes-aligned learning materials for its Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Foundation Phase Teaching. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of teacher education in South Africa by embedding Project-Based Learning (PBL), inclusive education and modern teaching practices into the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop learner guides, course guides, lecture notes and assessment tools for BEd Foundation Phase modules.
  • Ensure alignment with CHE, DHET and SACE accreditation standards, as well as NQF level descriptors.
  • Integrate Project-Based Learning (PBL) and blended learning methodologies across modules.
  • Design tools to support Work Integrated Learning (WIL), including reflection templates and assessment rubrics.
  • Collaborate with academic managers, subject experts and quality assurance teams to ensure contextual relevance.
Minimum Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Education or a related field (PhD is an advantage).
  • At least 5 years’ experience in curriculum development for higher education programmes (preferably BEd/PGCE).
  • Proven experience teaching or developing teacher education content.
  • Strong understanding of South African education policies, CHE standards and curriculum frameworks.
  • Experience in instructional design, Project-Based Learning and online/blended learning content.
