Job summary

A leading agricultural company in Eastern Cape is seeking a qualified finance professional with a BCom Accounting degree. The role involves consolidating reports, monitoring budgets, and preparing forecasts. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years experience in senior-level accounting. CA(SA) is an advantage. Strong financial analysis, attention to detail, and report writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • A CA(SA) qualification will be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of financial environments and cost management.

Job Responsibilities
  • Consolidate monthly cost and production reports from divisional financial managers.
  • Monitor expenses against budget and highlight over expenditure.
  • Prepare consolidated monthly forecasts and rolling estimates.
  • Manage the finance and sales of the company’s GP operations.
  • Produce weekly production KPI reports internally and for contract growers.
  • Daily water / electricity usage and analysis report. Compare to other readings / accounts and limit wastage.
  • Report on all energy saving initiatives with third parties and confirm results.
  • Volume / Price / Mix type comparisons for feed to be prepared monthly, comparing to both historical and budgeted information.
  • Prepare detailed costings for all CAPEX projects in conjunction with project & procurement
Job Requirements
  • The ideal candidate must be in possession of a BCom Accounting degree
  • 5 yearssenior levelaccountingor financial managementexperience in a large-scale agriculture and / or manufacturing environment. A CA(SA) will be advantageous
  • Computer literacy at an advanced level in all MS Office applications.
  • Excellent data structuring and analysing skills.
  • Good knowledge and experience of the financial environment.
  • Strong cost management knowledge.
  • Great attention to detail.
