Position : Controller / Sr Accountant

Working Schedule : 8am-6pm CST

Salary Range :$2300-$3000 USD Monthly (the final salary will be determined by the candidate's level of experience and at the discretion of the client)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller / Senior Accountant with full-charge bookkeeping capabilities to oversee the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and staff management. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, leading the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supervising the work of the accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and proven experience managing end-to-end accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
Full-Charge Accounting & Bookkeeping
  • Manage and update financial records including general ledgers, invoices, payments, and financial schedules.
  • Handle full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities.
  • Complete account reconciliations and balance/tie-out of intercompany accounts.
  • Record daily financial entries and adjustments.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including trial balance tie-outs.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for internal management review.
  • Handle financial reporting requirements for lenders.
  • Assist with audits, financial analysis, and miscellaneous accounting projects as needed.
  • Track and manage expenses and budgets; assist with forecasting and budgeting activities.
Compliance & Documentation
  • File monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
  • Maintain quarterly and annual renewals.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, GAAP, and other accounting standards.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical financial records.
  • Roll books each year and maintain various schedules (e.g., Transfer Sheet, A/P Matrix, CC Matrix).
  • Assist with payroll processing and tax filing requirements.
Team Leadership
  • Manage, train, and mentor accounting staff.
  • Review work prepared by junior team members and ensure accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications
Experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar financial role.
  • Proven experience in full-charge bookkeeping and preparing financial statements.
  • Experience managing and reviewing staff work.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
