Business Segment: Insurance & Asset Management
Location: ZA, GP, Roodepoort, 4 Ellis Street

To provide a high level of service across the different Insurance Products types through various communication channels to Standard Bank Customers, SBIB Provincial Offices, SBSA Branches, Underwriters and Brokers by resolving insurance policy queries across the various Insurance Products as per the multi‑skilling journey.

Subject Matter Expert

Act as a subject matter expert on Insurance Products as a skill.

Claims Management

Management of the Third party and recovery claims with service providers.

Achieving the financial performance indicators.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: Matric, Must be FAIS compliant, Computer literate, Paralegal minimum qualification and LLB would be an advantage.
Experience Required
  • Insurance: 5 years Recovery, Liabilities & Legal experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and collate all supporting documentation on IMS for handover to the legal collection firm appointed.
  • Analyse the documentation to ensure that the information is current and all recovery information is included.
  • Action any incoming correspondence, telephonic enquiries, paid‑up letters, filing and ad hoc queries from legal collection firm according to the SLA agreed.
  • Maintain the registers (manual and electronic) kept by the department for all collection matters, clearly reflecting the current status of each case.
  • Liaise with relevant attorney firms to obtain necessary documentation supporting SIL's claim from the Third party.
  • Deal with daily queries by liaising with relevant departments and providers.
  • Escalate unresolved queries to management for timely decisions.
  • Maintain high ethical standards, ensuring timelines are met and data accuracy.
  • Manage all bank/departmental records and the outsource process in line with SLAs.
  • Identify possible recovery and third‑party claims and allocate to the panel attorney.
  • Conduct regular audits on panel attorneys' performance.
  • Ensure settlement matters are within the agreed Mandate and escalate deviations to management.
