A fast-scaling mining investment firm is building its executive braintrust and we are looking for a Consultant Financial Director to architect the finance function from the ground up.

Your mission:

Lay the financial and commercial foundations for early-stage coal, metals, and energy-transition projects across Sub-Saharan Africa. This is a seat-at-the-table role, advising founders, shaping deal structures, and driving high-stakes decisions that directly impact project success and capital outcomes.

Your tools:

Investor decks. NPV models. Tax strategy. ERP systems. Compliance frameworks. You will bring order, insight, and strategic muscle to a lean team moving at speed.

Your stage:

A fully remote, fixed-term contract (3 to 6 months), with the potential to transition into a permanent CFO-level role as the business scales into full operations.

What you will own:

• Full financial governance design (multi-jurisdictional)
• Capital structuring, offtake and JV advisory
• Setup of ERP, controls, and cost frameworks
• Live financial modelling of exploration and development assets
• Commercial risk mapping and board-level strategic input
