Our client is a South African export company that sources and ships fresh fruit and produce worldwide. They work with local growers to supply markets like Russia, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.

They are looking for a Commercial Assistant to strengthen their sales and procurement operations. This role focuses on supporting growth in Russia and Middle East markets, managing day-to-day commercial activities, and building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support sales and procurement teams with market-specific activities.
  • Take ownership of cheaper sales and parking interactions .
  • Assist with procurement planning and supplier coordination.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships .
  • Monitor financial and quality control (QC) risks , and escalate where needed.
  • Take strategic action to resolve challenges and grow market share.
  • Contribute to meeting overall sales targets and business growth.
Requirements
  • Strong commercial mindset and proven interest in sales.
  • Proactive, able to take initiative and grow assigned areas.
  • Awareness of financial exposure and QC risks in the export market.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to handle international clients.
