Accounting Manager - Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Coordinate audits (internal and external) and implement recommendations for process improvements.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional development and high performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision‑making.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within the accounting function.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, HFM, Power BI).
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large data sets.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing talent.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
