What you'll do:
- Guide the organization through growth and transformation as CEO based in Johannesburg.
- Set strategic direction for multiple subsidiaries, ensuring operational excellence across sectors like mining, construction, agriculture, geospatial services, and logistics.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to identify new market opportunities and oversee innovative solutions connecting physical assets with digital intelligence.
- Build relationships with stakeholders—clients, suppliers, shareholders—and represent the company at industry events to enhance its reputation.
- Mentor executives and foster a culture of collaboration to develop talent pipelines supporting current and future organizational needs.
- Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives for long-term success.
- Identify emerging markets and lead growth strategies into new sectors and regions.
- Provide visionary leadership to ensure team alignment with the mission of connecting physical and digital worlds through technology.
- Oversee daily operations, implementing best practices to improve efficiency, safety, quality, and sustainability.
- Work with the Financial Director to manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and maintain financial health.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and act as the primary contact for major accounts.
- Represent the organization at industry events to strengthen its leadership position.
- Mentor and inspire the executive team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Conduct market analysis to anticipate trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Drive business development by collaborating with sales and marketing to attract clients and develop opportunities.
What you bring:
- A degree in Technology or Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, or chemical) plus a business qualification.
- Proven executive leadership experience in engineering or technology organizations, especially in geospatial, mining, construction, or agriculture industries.
- Experience in strategic planning and operational management focused on profitability and growth.
- Deep understanding of engineering principles, product lifecycles, and relevant technological advancements.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Experience fostering innovative cultures and implementing process improvements.
- Strong critical, numerical, and deductive reasoning skills for decision-making.
- Transformational leadership style, inspiring teams and adapting during change.
- A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel extensively nationally and internationally.
