What you'll do:
  1. Guide the organization through growth and transformation as CEO based in Johannesburg.
  2. Set strategic direction for multiple subsidiaries, ensuring operational excellence across sectors like mining, construction, agriculture, geospatial services, and logistics.
  3. Collaborate with senior leaders to identify new market opportunities and oversee innovative solutions connecting physical assets with digital intelligence.
  4. Build relationships with stakeholders—clients, suppliers, shareholders—and represent the company at industry events to enhance its reputation.
  5. Mentor executives and foster a culture of collaboration to develop talent pipelines supporting current and future organizational needs.
  6. Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives for long-term success.
  7. Identify emerging markets and lead growth strategies into new sectors and regions.
  8. Provide visionary leadership to ensure team alignment with the mission of connecting physical and digital worlds through technology.
  9. Oversee daily operations, implementing best practices to improve efficiency, safety, quality, and sustainability.
  10. Work with the Financial Director to manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and maintain financial health.
  11. Build relationships with key stakeholders and act as the primary contact for major accounts.
  12. Represent the organization at industry events to strengthen its leadership position.
  13. Mentor and inspire the executive team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  14. Conduct market analysis to anticipate trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
  15. Drive business development by collaborating with sales and marketing to attract clients and develop opportunities.
What you bring:
  1. A degree in Technology or Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, or chemical) plus a business qualification.
  2. Proven executive leadership experience in engineering or technology organizations, especially in geospatial, mining, construction, or agriculture industries.
  3. Experience in strategic planning and operational management focused on profitability and growth.
  4. Deep understanding of engineering principles, product lifecycles, and relevant technological advancements.
  5. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder engagement.
  6. Experience fostering innovative cultures and implementing process improvements.
  7. Strong critical, numerical, and deductive reasoning skills for decision-making.
  8. Transformational leadership style, inspiring teams and adapting during change.
  9. A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel extensively nationally and internationally.
