Job summary

A fashion design company in Durban is seeking a skilled individual to create CAD drawings for lingerie and other clothing products. The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications in fashion design or CAD design, proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, and a keen understanding of garment construction. Responsibilities include producing specification CADs for quality assurance, working closely with merchandisers, and conducting trend research to inform new product development. This role requires a detail-oriented person able to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant qualification in fashion design or CAD.
• Experience in Adobe Illustrator is essential.
• Must understand garment construction well.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD drawings for lingerie and clothing.
• Produce clear specification CADs for Quality Assurance.
• Work closely with merchandisers and quality assurance teams.
• Create tech packs for production.
• Research trends to help develop new products.
• Manage photographic content of garments.

• Updating packaging booklets
• Research trends online and in-store to help develop new products
• Trend research for Merchandisers buying trips
• Assist with buyers briefing with the Merchandiser
• Checking of factory samples and lab dips against the brief
