Bookkeeper position currently available in Paarl.

Our client is looking for a reliable and presentable candidate,, with experience at a junior to mid-level in accounting.

The ideal candidate must be well-groomed, professional, and a non-smoker.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Full financial processing up to balance sheet.
  • Intercompany processing and reconciliations.
  • Capturing and processing weekly and monthly payroll.
  • Preparing and submitting statutory returns (PAYE reconciliations, VAT201, EMP201, COID, etc.).
  • Cashflow management and bank processing (FNB).
  • Conducting costing, control, and stock control activities.
  • Supporting HR and Industrial Relations processes.
  • Preparing BEE, social, and ethical certification documentation.
  • Using advanced Excel skills (pivot table analysis, complex formulas).
  • Providing day-to-day IT problem-solving support.
  • Performing ad hoc financial and administrative duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in financial administration up to balance sheet level.
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas).
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements.
  • Experience in HR support and industrial relations advantageous.
