Job description

BESS Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced BESS Specialist to join our innovative team.

In this critical role, you'll play a vital role in the development, implementation, and optimization of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and simulate complex BESS solutions that can meet various requirements, not only backup systems, but also arbitrage, peak shaving etc. (Beneficial software knowledge: Homer and PVSyst)
• Assist the BESS team with site evaluations and proposals to the sales team for custom BESS solutions
• Research and evaluation on new products and Solareff partnership strategy
• Provide training to sales team and prospective clients on different BESS solutions provided by Solareff
• Assist and train project engineers with high‑level design of BESS solutions
• Assist and train project engineers with commissioning of new BESS systems

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Qualifications: B. Eng Electric and Electronic or B. Eng Electronic or B. Sc Eng
• Work experience required: 2 to 3 years’ experience with BESS systems or components thereof which includes the following: C&I Batteries, C&I Hybrid / Battery inverters, Microgrid networks on LV and MV (Beneficial)
• Technical skills required: Battery technology and in-depth knowledge of their workings and limitations; Commercial and industrial Hybrid / Battery inverter technology and in-depth knowledge of their workings and limitations; A good understanding of electrical networks; A good understanding of how these BESS and PV systems integrate with existing and new electrical networks
