Purpose of the Position
To fill a vacancy in the School of Professional Studies for the subject group, Education Law on the Vanderbijlpark Campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research
  • Scholarly guidance, innovation and initiation with regard to research in Education Law
  • Teaching
  • Teaching modules in Education Law
  • Teaching at all levels in higher education
  • Supervising master’s and PhD students
  • Community Engagement
  • Initiating and participation community engagement projects.
  • Development
  • Initiating research projects.
  • Involvement in community engagement programme.
Minimum Requirements
  • A PhD in Education Law or Policy studies (NQF Level 10).
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the field of higher education.
  • Author/co-author of at least 5 research articles in accredited journals since 2021.
  • Supervised Masters and Doctoral students to completion with a minimum of 3 Masters’ and 1 PhD students.
  • Have proven teaching experience in Education Law & Policy studies.
  • Involvement in community engagement projects
Added Advantage & Preference
  • Research skills, interpersonal skills/communication and computer literacy
  • Involvement in funded research projects
Key Functional/ Technical Competencies
  • Have a proven publication record.
  • Have a proven record of presenting/attending relevant national and international conferences.
  • Have proven record of successful supervision.
  • Have proven record of community engagement.
