Job description
Purpose

To assist Artisans and Technicians to support machine availability with minimum downtime by effectively addressing emergencies, breakdowns and scheduled services.

Main Responsibilities
  • To assist Artisans and Technicians in executing all maintenance activities to the required standard.
  • To ensure resources, tools and equipment are available to perform preventative maintenance effectively as instructed by the Artisans and Technicians.
  • To perform housekeeping duties for the workshop and other working areas.
  • To comply with SHEQ legislation, internal policies and procedures.
  • To complete small projects as identified and under the supervision of a qualified person.
  • To actively identify and report potential hazards in order to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental regulations are adhered to in line with the legal requirements for both SABN employees and contractors.
The Preferred Candidate is likely to have
  • Matric with Math’s & Science or N3 Mechanical / Electrical (Essential)
  • Forklift license (Added advantage)
  • 1-year experience in a technical environment

  • Basic Mechanical / Electrical Engineering principles.
  • Basic SHE Practices.
  • Basic Maintenance procedures and processes.
