A leading mining company in Northern Cape, South Africa, seeks an experienced Artisan Assistant. You will support artisans with mobile machine maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Candidates must have at least 2 years of maintenance experience, a Grade 12 certificate with mathematics, and an N2 Technical Certificate. The South Africa Manganese operation can be found in the manganese rich Kalahari Basin, in the country’s Northern Cape, which is home to 80 per cent of the world's manganese. This position is based at our open-cut Mamatwan mine which started operating more than half a century ago.
Eligible employees will receive an employer contribution towards the company-elected retirement fund.
South32 will support assistance for part-time studies aligned to role requirements and business needs at accredited institutions to eligible employees.
This role is a permanent full-time position.
As an Artisan Assistant, you will be responsible for safely assisting artisans with mobile machine maintenance and breakdowns. Compliance to all applicable procedures is essential.
