A global spirits company is seeking an Area Manager for Johannesburg, South Africa. This role involves driving growth for the company's portfolio across Southern Africa, managing distributor relationships, and achieving annual P&L targets. The ideal candidate should be ambitious, organised, and highly numerate with strong communication skills in English. We are hiring an Area Manager to help drive William Grant & Sons’ next phase of growth in this dynamic, fast-growing region for premium and luxury spirits. Based in Johannesburg South Africa, the role will manage our relationships and performance with distributor partners across the Southern Africa region.
Responsible for the sustainable growth of the William Grant & Sons portfolio across assigned markets (Angola, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia and Botswana) and Duty-Free Operators. This will include the delivery of the annual P&L targets.
Implements best practice distributor management tools to embed a strong culture of planning and execution of performance and activation of brand priorities.
Uses Route to Consumer approach to identify and unlock next generation growth opportunities for the portfolio.
Leverages full cross-functional resources within William Grant & Sons to build long-term win/win relationship with distributors.
