Responsibilities:
- Provide security advice to clients.
- Conduct threat and risk assessments.
- Maintain professional client relationships and liaise effectively.
- Manage manpower, equipment, and rostering.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Manage and resolve client complaints effectively.
- Ensure contractual requirements are consistently met.
- Ensure compliance with the company's disciplinary code.
- Maintain the ISO 9001 quality system.
- Initiate and chair disciplinary hearings.
- Oversee health and safety management.
- Address and resolve security officers' reported problems.
- Ensure adherence to all company SOPs.
- Coordinate and facilitate necessary training.
- Conduct after-hours visits and assist with shift changes as a standby manager.
- Attend meetings and respond to urgent calls, even on rest days.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of good security practices, including physical and logical aspects of information security, system integrity, and confidentiality.
Preferred qualifications / attributes / skills:
- PSIRA certification Grade A.
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Firearm competency and a valid Regulation 21 certificate are advantageous.
- Training in handgun, shotgun, and rifle is advantageous.
- Relevant managerial or similar experience.
- Knowledge of risk management, business impact analysis, countermeasures, and contingency plans related to IT service disruptions.
- Familiarity with tools or systems that provide access security control.
- Confidence in dealing with the public.
- First aid and fire-fighting training are advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual in English and another South African language.
- Proficient in MS Office and computer literacy.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and work under pressure.
- Willingness to undergo polygraph testing.
- Clean disciplinary, criminal, and credit records.
- Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
