Job summary

A recruitment agency is looking for an experienced Aircon / Refrigeration Technician to join a team in Port Elizabeth. Candidates should have a Grade 12 and a Trade Test Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. A valid driver's license and expertise in HVAC systems are essential. The role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of various air conditioning systems. Applicants from the PE / Uitenhage area are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Technician in HVAC/Refrigeration.
• Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring, and control systems.
• Valid Safe Handling of Refrigerants Certificate is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose technical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Complete job cards and maintain accurate records.
• Provide on-site technical support to clients.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency service requests.

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Technician in HVAC/Refrigeration.
• Valid Safe Handling of Refrigerants Certificate (advantageous).

• Candidate must reside in PE / Uitenhage area

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems (split units, ducted systems, cold rooms, freezer rooms, chillers, etc.).
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and fault-finding on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose technical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Complete job cards, service reports, and maintain accurate records.
• Provide on-site technical support and advice to clients.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency service requests.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work vehicles are well maintained.
