Job description

Flender South Africa Sales Department is seeking a proactive and driven Accounts Manager to join our team with a focus on maintaining and growing relationships with clients. The Account Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing customers, and meeting sales targets.

Job Description:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential high-value clients.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Achieve and exceed own individual sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services to key clients.
  • Work with the business development team to create and execute strategies for expanding the customer base.
  • Provide ongoing support and consultation to allocated customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Report on sales performance, account status, and market insights to senior management.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Internal sales, Order management, finance, engineering and quality) to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  • Participate in marketing and customer event shows
  • Maintain all sales and customer information on the CRM systems
  • Conduct and facilitate customer product training
  • Required to travel into Africa to develop allocated country
  • Additional duties from time-to-time as prescribe by Line Manager

Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Qualified Trade tested Fitter would be an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years proven track record in sales, accounts management, or business development within the Industrial Gearbox industry
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Sales forces) and sales tracking tools is a plus.
  • Must live in the Mpumalanga area. (E.g. Witbank, Lydenburg)
