Job Title: Financial Accountant - SAIPA Registered

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant who is a registered member of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA). The chosen candidate will be responsible for providing accurate financial information to management, stakeholders, and external auditors. They will ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and facilitate the optimisation of financial planning and analysis processes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements, reports, and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and tax filings.
• Review and reconcile monthly financial reports, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or irregularities.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis, providing insightful recommendations to management.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
• Liaise with external auditors during the year-end audit and assist in the completion of annual financial statements and tax returns.
• Monitor and analyse financial data, identifying trends and opportunities for cost savings, profit enhancement, and process improvements.

• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office (especially MS Excel).
