Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a qualified candidate for a financial management role in Upington, Northern Cape. The successful applicant will handle accounting functions, maintain records, and support financial audits. Qualifications include a B. Com Rec degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Qualifications

  • At least 5 years experience in a manufacturing and agricultural environment.
  • Knowledge of National credit legislation (NCR) administration is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all movement in the factory to read it into the system.
  • Maintaining financial records and reports.
  • Preparing and submitting reports to Statutory bodies.

Overview
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all movement in the factory to read it into the system (IFS)
  • Read Main Line and Small Line (Woolworths) runs on IFS.
  • Maintaining financial records and reports.
  • Monthly management statements and related reporting.
  • Budget and cash flow projections.
  • Maintaining asset registers.
  • Accounting management of inventory.
  • Cost variance analyses.
  • Processing of management accounting functions.
  • Handling, preparation and submission of reports to Statutory bodies (VAT returns, PAYE
  • Support of financial audits.
  • Drawing up financial statements.
  • General financial administration.
Requirements
  • B. Com Rec degree in financial accounting or management accounting.
  • Equivalent qualification with completed clerkship.
  • At least 5 years experience in, preferably a manufacturing and agricultural environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of “Business Intelligence Tools” (BI) and SQL.
  • Knowledge and experience in relation to the National credit legislation (NCR) and administration will be beneficial.
Skills / Competencies
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Above average computer skills in Pastel / Sage / SAP / Oracle and Excel.
  • The ability to function both independently and as part of a team
