OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
Financial Management
  • Prepare Netcare 911 financial and management statements in line with IFRS and group accounting standards.
  • Produce accurate and timely financial and management analysis and reporting.
  • Analyze and report on balance sheet reconciliations, costs, and benchmarking results.
  • Assist in preparing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Analyze and report on monthly budget variances.
  • Compile and submit departmental Cost Centre reports and liaise with line managers on budget and expenditure monitoring.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure integrity, accuracy, and completeness of accounting records and information systems.
  • Perform analytical reviews of costs and expenditure to support EXCO and line management decision-making.
  • Display functional knowledge and understanding to support with the submission of statutory submissions such as VAT201 and IT14SD
  • Managing of risk and reviewing of internal controls as well as compilation of risk reviews
  • Ensure complete familiarization of Netcare's financial policies, as revised from time to time.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS 16 Leases
  • Maintain and update the asset register with acquisitions, disposals and transfers.
  • Oversee periodic counts and reconciliations of uniforms, stationery, and other consumable inventories.
  • Supervise the Accounts Payable (AP) function and staff to ensure efficient processing and compliance.
  • Assist with audit queries and provide necessary documentation and explanations.

EDUCATION

Essential

  • BCom degree or Advanced Diploma in Financial Accounting (NQF Level 7).
WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a financial department, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced level)
  • Highly proficient in SAP and SAP RE
  • Experience in training colleagues on new processes or systems
  • Budget preparation
  • Experience in Infor BI
KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong financial accounting knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
