Description/Synopsis

Our client, a well-established business based in Moreleta Park, Pretoria, is looking for an experienced Accountant to take responsibility for the full accounting function of one of its divisions. This is a hands-on role that requires solid technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage day-to-day financial processes independently.

Minimum Requirements
  • BCom degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an accounting role
  • Experience with Xero and SimplePay systems advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of reconciliations, reporting, and compliance
  • Able to work independently and manage full accounting responsibilities
Responsibilities
  • Manage the full accounting function for the division
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reports
  • Oversee reconciliations of general ledger, debtors, creditors, and bank accounts
  • Ensure compliance with all financial policies and procedures
  • Handle statutory submissions including VAT, PAYE, and other requirements
  • Support management with accurate financial information and analysis
  • Liaise with auditors and assist with audit preparation
