Job summary
A leading oil trading firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Oil Trader to drive profitable trades and expand the trading portfolio. You will utilize your 8 years of industry experience to execute trades and identify new market opportunities. This role requires strong network connections within the oil & gas sector and proficiency in relevant software tools. The position offers a comprehensive compensation package including a basic salary up to $15,000 plus allowances and commissions.
Qualifications
- 8 years in international oil & gas trade with a deep understanding of industry trends.
- A well-established network of industry clients and key contacts.
- Strong familiarity with international fuel oil trading processes.
Responsibilities
- Execute profitable trades across global oil markets.
- Identify new opportunities by spotting emerging trends.
- Conduct in-depth market research to support trading decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients.
- Support policy development aligned with market demands.
- Adhere to risk and compliance protocols.
Skills
Oil Trader (100% Hunter)
- Up till $15000 basic + Monthly allowance + Commission
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Oil Trader — someone capable of executing large-scale trades both independently and as part of a team — to help expand our trading portfolio and drive greater trading volume for the company.
As an Oil Trader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our trading operations. Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:
- Executing Profitable Trades: Use your established industry network to drive profitable physical trades across global oil markets.
- Identifying New Opportunities: Understand and contribute to the business strategy by spotting emerging trends, future markets, and new client opportunities.
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to support the desk and contribute insights that will inform internal reports and decision-making.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring regular contact and effective management of daily trading activities.
- Support Policy Development: Work closely with senior management to help shape sector-related policies and procedures that align with market demands and regulatory requirements.
- Risk & Compliance: Foster a culture of risk awareness and compliance by adhering to company policies and working closely with regulators and exchanges.
- Judgment and Integrity: Exercise sound judgment and act with integrity, skill, and diligence, ensuring all trading activities are compliant with regulations.
- Extensive Trading Experience: 8 years in international oil & gas trade, with a deep understanding of industry trends and trading processes.
- Industry Network: A well-established network of industry clients and key contacts within the oil & gas sector.
- Technical Expertise: Strong familiarity with international fuel oil trading processes and the regulations governing this industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant office software to manage data and reports effectively.
