Job summary

A precision engineering company in Singapore is seeking a Grinding Specialist to perform precision grinding and maintain operational standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a tool room, capable of working independently while ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols. Responsibilities include fault diagnosis and machine maintenance, contributing to productivity improvements. This role offers a 5.5 day work week.

Qualifications

Job Description

Apply technical principles and procedures to produce precision parts, a grinding process specialists provide end-to-end solutions for customers. Other responsibilities include fault diagnosis, machine maintenance and housekeeping of machine tools; and ensuring a smooth coordination of daily operations which require adaptation of processes, equipment and techniques to meet the tougher requirements of the production process. Grinding specialists expected to meet production and quality standards while following Workplace Health and Safety (WSH) procedures; and continually assess improvement and productivity matters with team members.

1. Perform precision grinding in accordance to the Approved Engineering Drawing dimensions & tolerances
2. Good experience in grinding carbide, tool steel, non ferrous materials
3. Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area

Requirements

Minimum O Level/ NITEC in Precision Engineering

1. 5 years working experience in tool room
2. Work independently
3. 5.5 day work week
