Oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure work is carried out according to schedule.
Coordinate activities of workers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ensure resources such as manpower, materials, and equipment are used efficiently.
Enforce workplace safety rules according to regulatory requirements (e.g., WSH Act).
Conduct regular safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and inspections.
Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions immediately.
Ensure workers wear appropriate PPE and follow safe work procedures.
Monitor workmanship to ensure it meets project specifications, drawings, and standards.
Conduct quality inspections and report any defects or deviations.
Coordinate with engineers or project managers for quality assurance checks.
Track and record daily work progress against the project timeline.
Prepare daily site reports, photographs, and documentation.
Highlight delays, challenges, or resource shortages to the project manager.
Act as the main point of contact between workers, subcontractors, and management.
Facilitate smooth communication to prevent misunderstandings on site.
Attend site meetings and relay instructions or updates to the team.
Resolve on-site issues such as technical problems, clashes in scheduling, or manpower gaps.
Make quick operational decisions to minimize downtime.
Maintain proper records of attendance, deliveries, permits, and inspections.
Ensure required permits (e.g., hot work permits, lifting permits) are obtained before work begins.
Ensure the worksite is clean, organized, and safe.
Arrange proper waste management and material storage.
Provide updates on progress, manpower needs, and site challenges.
Assist in planning work sequences and coordinating upcoming activities.
Ensure works are completed on time and within budget.
