Job description
The selected candidate will conduct R&D in an IAF-PP project to develop new delivery platform for targeted delivery of bio-based anticancer reagents to tumors.
Job Responsibilities
- Synthesize and characterize polymers for biomedical applications
- Fabricate and characterize crosslinked hydrogels/microgels.
- Develop manufacturing processes including optimization of processing parameters.
- Communicate and work with collaborators at NUS and NUH in biological testing of microgels/hydrogels
- Perform material characterizations and testing.
- Prepare technical reports for technical disclosures, patents, and publications
Job Requirement
- Diploma in organic chemistry or material (polymer engineering) engineering
- Having strong analytical skills (applying scientific rules and analytical methods) to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions/approaches to problems
- Basic understanding of chemical characterization techniques including NMR, UV-Vis, and FTIR
- Experiences in characterizations and testing of polymers, such as DSC, GPC, TGA and rheology
- Familiarity with design software
- Good written and communication skills
