Summary:

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join the engineering team under the direction of the Cybersecurity Authority. The role involves implementing and supporting security solutions, administering firewalls and intrusion detection systems, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure and security technologies, with experience working in international teams and securing large, critical systems.

Requirements:

• Install and configure IT system hardware, including firewalls and intrusion detection devices.
• Support project delivery teams in daily security operations such as firewall administration, OS patching, and account reviews.
• Implement security solutions such as endpoint protection and data loss prevention tools.
• Provide technical support on cybersecurity work packages for bids and projects.
• Act as a technical interface with customers, addressing queries and providing solutions.
• Support IT infrastructure design and implementation, including high-availability systems, virtualization, and Kubernetes environments.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and system hardening.
• Apply knowledge of security standards such as ISA 62443, NIST, CIS, and Common Criteria.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience in IT security, networking, and infrastructure domains.
• Hands-on expertise in firewalls, IDS/IPS, IAM/PIM, and antivirus tools.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and virtualization (VMware, VSAN, Kubernetes).
• Scripting skills in Shell, Python, or Perl for system administration tasks.
• Experience securing large and critical systems is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with network security (e.g., Radius) and network storage solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in multicultural teams.
• Professional certifications such as ISA 62443 Cybersecurity Fundamentals or equivalent preferred.
