The role
You will drive retail success through effective merchandising strategies, requiring analytical skills, awareness of consumer behaviors and trends, and collaboration with internal teams to grow the business. The Merchandiser works with buying, marketing, and retail teams to develop and implement plans aligned with company goals.
Main responsibilities
Merchandising Strategy Development:
- Develop strategic plans to meet sales targets and improve customer satisfaction.
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitors to optimize product assortment.
Product Selection and Procurement:
- Collaborate with the buying team to select merchandise that aligns with the brand and target market.
- Conduct store visits and competitor analysis to understand market positioning.
Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory levels and replenishment to prevent stockouts and excess stock.
- Use data analytics to forecast and optimize inventory turnover, reducing costs.
Visual Merchandising:
- Work with the visual team to create appealing displays and store layouts that boost engagement and sales.
- Maintain merchandising standards across all retail locations.
Promotions and Pricing:
- Develop promotional strategies and pricing policies to drive sales and profitability.
- Monitor promotion performance and adjust strategies as needed.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Partner with marketing, retail, and operations teams to execute initiatives.
- Communicate priorities and strategies to internal stakeholders to ensure alignment.
Performance Analysis:
- Track KPIs such as sales, margin, inventory turnover, and sell-through rates.
- Generate reports and insights to evaluate strategies and identify improvements.

Qualifications & Experience
- 1-2 years experience in retail merchandising roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strategic mindset focused on results.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons.
- Passion for retail and understanding of consumer trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields; diploma holders with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
