Job summary
A leading healthcare institution in Singapore is seeking a candidate to perform neurophysiology tests, including electromyography and electrophysiology. Responsibilities include explaining tests to patients and preparing them adequately. Candidates must have a degree in Biological, Life, or Biomedical Sciences and relevant experience in an Operating Theatre. A keen interest in neurophysiology is preferred.
Qualifications
- Degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, or Biomedical Sciences required.
- Relevant experience in Operating Theatre preferred.
- Keen interest in neurophysiology and related tests.
Responsibilities
- Perform neurophysiology tests as directed by the supervisor.
- Explain tests/procedures to patients and relatives.
- Prepare patients adequately for tests/procedures.
Skills
Education
You will perform neurophysiology tests as directed by the immediate supervisor. These include electromyography and electrophysiology intraoperative. You will explain the various tests/procedures performed on patients and their relatives. You will also prepare patients adequately for the various tests/procedures (which include a simple medical history taking).
- Degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences
- Relevant experience in Operating Theatre would be preferable
- Preferably keen in neurophysiology such as Somatosensory Evoked Potentials test (SSEP), Motor Evoked Potential (MEP), Electromyogram (EMG), Electroencephalogram, electroencephalograph, or electroencephalography (EEG) and general spine surgeries
