Job Description
The Sourcing Manager for Strategic Sourcing exemplifies leadership through collaboration to create competitive advantages and value for Visa. In their role supporting the regional category lead for Marketing, they play a crucial part in developing strategies that yield sustainable outcomes across all marketing categories by pinpointing new opportunities for value creation and process enhancement. The Sourcing Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of deals within the Marketing sub-categories and is accountable for achieving department and functional objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Builds business partnerships with cross-functional leaders at Visa to collaborate and drive sourcing strategies.
- Oversees complex sourcing strategies and scope, managing the intricacies of a global matrixed organization.
- Integrates strategic sourcing into business operations to create a unified vision.
- Maintains strong relationships with APAC’s CMO to support regional marketing strategies.
- Works closely with Visa’s Agency Management COE to evaluate agency performance against KPIs and benchmarks.
- Guides the strategic sourcing process from needs identification through supplier performance management.
- Manages sourcing strategies for creative, production, media, sponsorships, and market research.
- Focuses externally to build strong industry relationships outside Visa.
- Champions change with decisive actions and adaptability to evolving business needs.
- Communicates effectively, listens actively, and values diverse perspectives.
- Develops strategic relationships with suppliers to implement category strategies.
- Oversees SRM plans focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Supports Global Sourcing policy implementation by collaborating with stakeholders and partners.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
- Degree in any relevant discipline
- 8+ years of experience in Marketing, Strategic Sourcing, Performance Marketing, or within a Marketing Agency
- 4+ years leading the development and management of Marketing category plans and sourcing strategies.
- In-depth understanding of the agency, production, and creator marketplaces, deep industry and/or professional relationships with suppliers and agencies.
- Deep understanding of marketing metrics and associated measurement techniques.
- Experience working across multiple AP geographies, and general knowledge of tax implications to cost (GST/VAT/ WHT).
- Sound proven experience in driving key marketing initiatives in AP markets, including the execution of RFx / benchmarking.
- Past experiences in challenging the status quo by developing business cases for change through leveraging business acumen, market intelligence, and insights to drive a broad strategic impact.
- Demonstrated contract negotiation experience, including development of negotiating plans and strategies for creative production.
- Strong relationship-management skills. Collaborate with functional leads, senior-to-exec management, and grow relationships with key influencers to build credibility and trust.
- Excellent communication skills, written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize information and make concise recommendations through insights and data.
- Ability to independently identify and pursue multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver superior results.
- Highly motivated, demonstrates a can-do approach in being proactive with work assignments.
