Job Overview

As an Assistant Principal Software Engineer, you will play a key role in bridging technical leadership and hands‑on development. You will assist in defining architecture, lead complex projects, and mentor senior engineers while ensuring secure, scalable, and high‑performance solutions. This position requires strong technical depth, leadership capability, and collaboration across teams to deliver enterprise‑grade applications and Outlook plugins with advanced cryptographic features.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Principal Engineer in defining and implementing software architecture for mission‑critical applications.
• Lead development of complex modules and ensure adherence to secure coding practices and performance standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Conduct code reviews, architecture assessments, and enforce best practices in design and implementation.
• Mentor senior and mid‑level engineers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.
• Assist in evaluating emerging technologies and contribute to product roadmap decisions.
• Ensure robust version control, CI/CD pipelines, and maintain high‑quality documentation.
• Participate in customer and stakeholder discussions, providing technical insights and recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• 8‑10 years of professional experience in C++ and C# development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering secure Windows‑based applications and Outlook plugins.
• Strong understanding of cryptographic algorithms (AES, RSA, ECC) and secure software design principles.
• Proficiency with development tools (Visual Studio, Git), CI/CD systems, and debugging techniques.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to guide teams through complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
• Exposure to architectural decision‑making and risk analysis.
