The Role
We are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer to lead the technical vision, architecture, and development of our AI-driven BIM automation platform. You will oversee the end-to-end technical execution of our project, transforming cost estimation and compliance verification in corporate interior design through advanced AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for our AI-powered IFC classification platform
- Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based solutions
- Lead technical decision-making across AI/ML model selection, cloud infrastructure, and system integration
AI/ML Development Oversight
- Oversee the development and deployment of hybrid AI models including Object Detection, Semantic Segmentation, and Instance Segmentation
- Guide the fine-tuning and integration of Large Language Models (GPT-4o/GPT-5) for compliance verification
- Ensure Vision Transformer (ViT) training achieves target accuracy (≥95%) for IFC classification
Team Management
- Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing development team
- Collaborate with Product Manager, Business Analysts, and external consultants
- Establish engineering best practices, code review processes, and quality standards
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Google Cloud, and GPU compute services (RunPod)
- Optimize usage-based cloud spending while maintaining performance requirements
- Ensure data security, compliance, and system reliability
Integration & Partnerships
- Lead technical integration with SketchUp through extensions and APIs
- Coordinate with potential technology partners (Trimble, Microsoft, cloud providers)
- Interface with regulatory bodies (BCA) for building code compliance features
Project Delivery
- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones within budget constraints
- Manage technical risks and develop contingency strategies
- Prepare technical documentation for government grant compliance and reporting
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or related field
- 8+ years of software development experience with 3+ years in technical leadership roles
- Strong hands‑on experience with AI/ML technologies, particularly: Computer Vision (Object Detection, Image Segmentation), Deep Learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), Large Language Models and fine‑tuning techniques
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Experience building and deploying production‑grade SaaS applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Vision Transformers (ViT) or similar architectures
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and IFC standards
- Knowledge of the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) industry
- Experience with SketchUp SDK/API development
- Track record of working with government grants or regulatory compliance projects
Technical Skills
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Database management (SQL, NoSQL)
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- GPU computing and model deployment
