Job summary

An engineering design firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced structural engineer to review design drawings, lead engineering coordination efforts, and implement standards in structural projects. The ideal candidate should have a degree in engineering, at least 4 years of experience in structural steel coordination, and proficiency in detailing software like AutoCAD and TEKLA Structures. Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential for this role. The position offers a 5.5 day work week with alternate Saturdays off.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Structural/Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in structural steel engineering coordinating.
• Good knowledge in detailing software (AutoCAD, TEKLA Structures, Microsoft Office suite).
• Good communication skills and effective team player.
• Self-starter and can work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and interprets design drawings and specifications.
• Implements standard code of practice and project specifications.
• Technical clarification and submission of RFI/TQ/RFA.
• Proposes better engineering alternatives and connection details.
• Leads a workgroup for engineering coordination and detailing.
• Monitors shop drawing schedules and prepare weekly progress report.
• Undertakes assignments as assigned by the Superior/Head of the Department.
