Job summary
A tech solutions company in Singapore seeks an experienced Technical Manager – Payments / Cards. This role leads the design, delivery, and support of payment and card-based technology solutions. Responsibilities include managing technical teams, ensuring compliance with banking standards, and driving end-to-end project delivery. A Bachelor's degree and 10-15 years of experience in IT, especially with payments and card systems, are required. Strong stakeholder management skills and an understanding of payment processing are essential.
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of IT experience with strong exposure to payments and card systems.
- Proven experience managing technical teams and delivering complex banking solutions.
- Strong understanding of payment processing, card lifecycle, and transaction flows.

- Translate business requirements into technical designs and delivery plans.
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery including scope, timeline, quality, and budget.
- Collaborate with business, product, architecture, and vendor teams.

Education
We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager – Payments / Cards to lead the design, delivery, and support of payment and card-based technology solutions. The role involves managing technical teams, driving end-to-end delivery of payment systems, and ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with banking and regulatory standards.
- Lead and manage technical teams delivering payments and card platform solutions
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and delivery plans
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery including scope, timeline, quality, and budget
- Collaborate with business, product, architecture, and vendor teams
- Drive solution design discussions across payments, cards, integrations, and channels
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and banking standards (PCI-DSS, data protection)
- Review solution architecture, code quality, and technical deliverables
- Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and technical issues with timely escalation
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, and production stability
- Mentor and guide technical team members to build strong in-house capability
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 10–15 years of IT experience with strong exposure to payments and card systems
- Proven experience managing technical teams and delivering complex banking solutions
- Strong understanding of payment processing, card lifecycle, and transaction flows
- Experience with Agile / SDLC delivery models
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel and drive execution
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
