Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore seeks a dedicated professional to oversee the implementation and monitoring of Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and Environmental Management Systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience in building construction, hold safety certificates, and be familiar with ISO standards. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, managing compliance, and improving safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Qualifications

• Possess relevant safety certificates, such as Advanced Certificate in WSH.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Workplace Safety & Health in Building Construction.
• Familiar with ISO 45001, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Workplace Safety & Health and Environmental Management Systems.
• Conduct regular Workplace Safety & Health inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
• Complete and review risk assessments on a regular basis.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for implementing and monitoring Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and Environmental Management Systems at work sites.
• Conducts regular Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) inspections and follow-up actions to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Responsible for ensuring that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are strictly followed, regularly reviewed for relevance, updated as required, and effectively communicated to all employees.
• Ensure the Company fulfills its statutory obligations in all areas of workplace health, safety, and welfare, including mandatory training and reporting requirements.
• Completes and reviews risk assessments for work equipment and operations on a regular basis.
• Documents and investigates accidents, ensuring implementation of recommended safety improvements.
• Coordinate the development of Health & Safety policies, systems of work, and procedures.
• Inspect project sites to ensure safety measures are implemented and maintained at all times.

Job Requirements

• Possess relevant safety certificates (Eg Advanced Certificate in WSH, Safety Officer's Course, Specialist Diploma in WSH or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant WSH working experience in Building Construction.
• Familiar with ISO45001, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001.
