Overview

Linum Consult’s client is an established engineering services and consulting company currently seeking a bilingual Arabic- and English-speaking Vice President of Design and Engineering from an Architectural background on Civil Engineering projects. This role will be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

• Managing the overall design process, advising on materials and environmental quality standards
• Preparing and maintaining specialised documents and reports on civil engineering projects
• Developing work methods and procedures
• Keeping up with technological advancements
• Managing a multidisciplinary engineering team on large, civil engineering and infrastructure projects
• Ensuring all projects adhere to industry and regulatory codes and standards, engineering procedures, and design standards

Profile / Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Architectural or Civil Engineering or similar subject, with preferably certification in Design Management (CPDM) from the Design Management Institute (DMI)
• At least 25 years of architectural design experience, with a minimum of 10 years as a Design Manager / Design Director for large projects
• Extensive experience in the design management of building, infrastructure, bridges, rail, and highway projects
• Excellent technical knowledge of industry codes and standards, engineering procedures and design standards
• Certified in STAAD, Civil 3D, Road design, Photoshop, SDRmap, BIM, and LEED
• Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic, with good communication skills
