Overview
The Tamayyaz Program provides nationalization development opportunities in the hospitality field. The Mövenpick Hotel and Residence Hajar Tower Makkah, located near the holy Ka’abah, offers premium accommodation and Swiss service standards managed by Accor. The property features a modern 41-storey tower with multiple dining options and extensive facilities.
Job Description
- Works as per instructions from the immediate Supervisor and per duty shifts; performs basic cleaning, equipment polishing, table setting, and retrieves materials from other departments.
- Communicates directly with guests (presents menus, makes recommendations, takes orders, processes payments).
- Ensures proper appearance and grooming while on duty.
- Handles guest greeting and seating through the hostess.
- Ensures the entrance is never unattended.
- Maintains a professional, friendly, yet discreet relationship with outlet patrons to support guest well-being.
- Learns all menus, promotions, and relevant outlet information (product knowledge).
- Reports cleanliness and maintenance issues to the immediate Supervisor.
- Handles guest complaints as directed or consults the immediate Supervisor.
- Performs mise-en-place for the full day service requirements.
- Reports equipment failures or problems to the Maintenance Department.
- Passes maintenance requests to the Maintenance Department.
- Participates in Training/Developments schemes as recommended by senior management.
- Attends all regular departmental briefings and contributes to open communication within the team.
- Treats guests and colleagues in a polite and courteous manner.
- Observes high standards of personal hygiene.
- Maintains clean and organized side stations at all times.
- Anticipates customers’ needs.
- Is flexible in assisting around different areas of the hotel.
- Familiar with the company’s internal policies and safety procedures.
- Provides assistance in other hotel areas if required by the situation.
- Understands and adheres to policy related to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
- Familiar with relevant company documentation and Operational Standards for the department.
- Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Administration
- Work closely with the hostess to ensure name tags are complete and in proper position.
- Ensure business cards and the database are handed over to the hostess for records.
- Make sure all bills are handed over to the cashier.
- Ensure all items are charged correctly in the Micros system according to guest consumption.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Additional Information
- Tamayyaz Program is for Saudi Nationals Only.
- Open to candidates with little to no work experience, including fresh graduates and those with up to 6 months of relevant work experience.
- Basic English skills are a must.
- Strong passion for the Hospitality Field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Is a team player that contributes to and proactively assists co-workers.
- Ability to work a flexible roster depending on departmental needs.
- Ability to focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
