Job Summary
Perform complex diagnostic and mechanical tasks on aircraft, including inspection, repair, and maintenance of engines, airframes, Hawk canopy, and other components. Assist subordinates and mechanics to ensure efficient work execution.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform assigned work using routine and/or non-routine work cards and service bulletins within estimated or budgeted hours, adhering to aviation regulations and Alsalam’s quality standards.
- Maintain Alsalam’s and customer’s maintenance documentation accurately and securely.
- Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems and engines using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment to detect and diagnose malfunctions.
- Disassemble, examine, and inspect engines or other components for cracks, leaks, wear, or defects.
- Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components using hand and power tools.
- Maintain aircraft systems through tasks such as flushing, cleaning screens, greasing, and brake checks.
- Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures and components, including flight controls, landing gears, rigging, and hydraulic units.
- Modify aircraft structures, systems, or components following drawings, engineering orders, and technical publications.
- Determine proper sealing compounds, cleaning solutions, and repair procedures from blueprints, documents, and technical orders.
- Apply sealing compounds with hand tools, pressure guns, and other tooling to seal fuel cell cavities and integral fuel cells to specifications.
- Perform maintenance on environmental, pneumatic, bleed air, life support, hydraulic systems, and test benches.
- Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to assess repair or replacement methods.
- Promote safety by monitoring self and others to ensure duties comply with Alsalam’s safety manual.
- Assist in training new mechanics and support their job performance.
