Job Purpose

The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to meet revenue targets and drive business growth within the paint industry. This role involves managing the sales team, building client relationships, and ensuring sales objectives are consistently achieved through effective leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy Development & Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities.
  • Set annual goals and ensure successful achievement in line with the company vision.

2. Team Management

  • Build, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
  • Motivate team members to achieve targets and foster a culture of teamwork.
  • Conduct training sessions to enhance sales capabilities.

3. Achieving Sales Goals

  • Meet monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Monitor team performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Engage with key customers and partners to drive sustainable revenue growth.

4. Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Stay updated on market dynamics and evolving customer needs.
  • Analyze sales data to evaluate product performance and suggest improvements.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities and mitigate threats.

5. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients in the paint industry.
  • Address customer issues promptly to ensure satisfaction and retention.

6. Reporting & Evaluation

  • Prepare regular sales reports and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Recommend strategies for continuous improvement in sales performance.

7. Budget Management

  • Work within allocated budgets to achieve sales goals efficiently.
  • Develop financial plans and communicate them effectively to the sales team.

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Sales Volume Growth (% increase year-on-year).
  • Target Achievement Rate (monthly and annual goals).
  • Revenue Growth (team performance-driven).
  • Client Base Growth (new and repeat customers).
  • Customer Satisfaction Rate (surveys & feedback).
