What is the job?

The position is accountable for soliciting and handling sales opportunities. Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery. Conducts day-to-day activities related to sales with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives. To analyse local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.

A Little Taste Of Your Day-to-day

Every day is different at IHG, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Identify and develop potential clients in specified offline segments and incorporate into Sales Pipelines
  • Acquire thorough knowledge of respective accounts and their hospitality needs
  • Promote all the hotel’s products and services
  • Conduct regular planned sales visitations to respective accounts
  • Understand client requirements and ensure that the products and services offered correspond effectively to their request
  • Provide after-sales service and ensure that all client feedback is taken seriously and escalated to relevant top management if necessary
  • Meet and exceed given Top-line Revenue objectives
  • Achieve set revenue targets for respective segments
  • Ensure cost effective sales activities are practices at all times
  • Work to increasing hotel profitability with higher yielding rates and lower cost of sales
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting on the market and competitor information
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting in sales activities, sales pipelines and all other assigned reports and task
  • Ensure team productivity by achieving sales visitation targets as well as other assigned sales activities such as telemarketing and canvassing
  • Any other duties and responsibilities as and when directed by the General Manager as deemed necessary, relevant and related in the course of work
What we need from you :

Minimum of 2-3 years Sales experience in 5* Hotel property· Hospitality degree or equivalent · Excellent customer relations, problem solving and time management skills · Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Opera Sales · Proven ability to creating new business opportunities · Assertive, professional and positive with a proven ability to develop in a team environment · Must be able to work independently and maintain a positive attitude within a very busy environment · Valid driver's license is preferred.
