A leading manufacturing company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Production Planner to optimize resources and scheduling. The ideal candidate will ensure timely delivery of production quantities and work collaboratively with various teams. A BSc in industrial engineering or manufacturing, alongside 5 years of experience in production planning, is required. This role is critical for maximizing productivity and efficiency within the production line.
Optimize resources and the scheduling of resources to meet production demand.
Maintain planning and scheduling horizons to ensure visibility to all production stakeholders i.e., customer service, sales and supply chain functions.
Coordinating planning activities with Customer Service representatives, Sales team, and Supply chain to ensure that products are manufactured on given time to meet Customer requirements.
Ensure that committed production quantities are delivered on time and in full.
Attend the daily demand meeting to update the CSD and sales on the production plan.
Work with the materials planner to ensure that all raw materials are available for production to avoid production delays or disruption due to non-availability of raw materials.
Ensure timely update of production orders on ERP to minimize variances and enhance supply chain material planning efforts.
Use the sales forecast to prepare a long horizon production plan.
Implement manufacturing strategy for planning of products based on their planning key.
(Critical, High, Medium, Low)
Monitor and consider on-hand stocks of finished goods and raw materials while planning.
Liaise with the maintenance planner to include the monthly preventive maintenance in the production schedule.
Monitor the daily productivity and report any issues.
Attend to actions related to slow or non-moving items.
Improve M-OTIF, Monitor OEE and utilization per line & per station, monitor forecast accuracy and its impact on planning.
Improve reworks of non-confirming products.
Monitor and coordinate with supervisors to improve material usage variance (MUV).
Follow-up of work orders from production cells and QC.
Set self as an example to colleagues in punctuality, commitment, respect to work hours, and dedication.
Carry over additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager or Operations Manager.
