The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in Building Services to join the team at our Riyadh office, and to play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative mechanical design solutions for some of the most exciting building projects in the MENA region and Worldwide.

Predominantly working with some of the largest and most innovative corporate entities across the MENA region, you will deliver cutting edge workplaces that allow these companies' employees to do their best work and change the world. The successful candidate will take a key role in delivering these projects whilst managing Cundall's specialist engineers. You will work closely with colleagues of various disciplines, including external local engineering partners, to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects.

You will develop new and nurture existingoutstanding client relationships that maximise satisfaction and ensure repeat business and will use your wealth of expertise and leadership skills to manage, motivate and inspire less experienced engineers.

The Skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development: Create detailed mechanical designs, layouts, schematics, and calculations for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
  • Software Proficiency: Use AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revit to review and produce 2D/3D drawings, and HAP software for heat load calculations.
  • Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams, project managers, BIM coordinators, and other engineers to integrate systems seamlessly.
  • Site Activities: Carry out site inspections and survey
  • Compliance: Ensure designs meet relevant standards, regulations, and energy-efficiency goals.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical reports.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Engineering degree (e.g., Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience in building services design, including HVAC and public health systems.
  • Technical Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with proficiency in engineering software.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
