We are seeking a talented and passionateJunior Pastry Sous Chef to join our culinary team at the First Vignette Collection in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Carlton Al Moaibed Hotel). This dynamic role requires a high level of culinary skill, creativity, and dedication to support our Head Pastry Chef in delivering exceptional sweet and baked creations that delight our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in goods preparation and collaborate with the executive/head chef.
• Help in the design, testing, and implementation of the pastry menus.
• Produce high-quality products for customers in both design and taste.
• Oversee and supervise Pastry staff.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, supplier relationships, and management of supplies.
• Keep work and food prep stations clean and comply with food safety standards.
• Offer suggestions and creative ideas that can improve the Pastry team performance, menu options, and service levels.
• Maintain the schedule for staff shifts.
• Monitor and maintain the kitchen equipment, and arrange repairs and service as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or above
• Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of Food hygiene and safety regulations
• Ability to communicate with customers and other staff members
• Strong leadership skills
• Willing to work late or unsociable hours
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong knowledge of Pastry and Bakery products, with a touch of Chocolate making.
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good listening skills, with high levels of attention to detail
• Ability to multitask
