Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct FTO analyses and patent landscape reviews.
  • Assess IP risks for NDAs and SFDA submissions.
  • Provide recommendations on product selection and development strategies.
  • Draft formal FTO opinions and manage documentation.
  • Develop strategies to challenge weak patents.
  • Complete KSA product registrations from an IP perspective.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and talented Intellectual Property Expert Saudi Arabia to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough FTO analyses and patent landscape reviews for potential generic product candidates prior to development and launch.
  • Identify, assess, and quantify IP risks associated with New Drug Applications (NDAs) and Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) submissions.
  • Provide clear, actionable, and risk-weighted recommendations to the Portfolio Management, R&D, and Business Development teams on product selection and development strategies.
  • Draft formal FTO opinions and manage documentation to support business decisions.
  • Develop strategies to challenge weak or invalid patents through opposition procedures.
  • Ensure all KSA product registrations are complete from an IP perspective for regulatory submissions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
  • A law degree and/or a specialized qualification in Intellectual Property law is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in an IP role,with a strong preference for experience within the generic pharmaceutical industry.
