Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and implement preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
  • Deliver HSE training programs and workshops to employees, contractors, and visitors to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
  • Ensure all workplace activities comply with ISO 9001-2015 standards and other relevant certifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to integrate HSE best practices into daily operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance documentation.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance, including waste management, emissions, and resource usage.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors during inspections and compliance reviews.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HSE performance and support organizational objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in an HSE engineering role within industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices (local and international).
  • Proven experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deliver training and collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, safety data sheets, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management software.
  • Experience working in an office-based environment with occasional site visits.
  • Certification in ISO 9001-2015 compliance is an advantage.
