Roles & Responsibilities
- Transport World Bank staff to designated destinations. Drive office vehicle(s) as requested, observing time schedules, driving regulations, safety requirements, traffic conditions, and optimal routes to minimize travel time.
- Ensure highest security standards are applied by passengers as per Road Safety guidelines and comply with local regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the assigned vehicle; check gasoline, oil, water, battery, brakes, lights, tires, etc.; conduct minor repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Take suitable precautions for the security of the vehicle and its contents when left unattended.
- Maintain records of trips, time and duration, mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, and servicing.
- Deliver the vehicle to designated maintenance locations and ensure maintenance is executed as requested.
- Make minor purchases and assist with collection and delivery of required goods from local suppliers as needed for the office.
- Undertake other assigned tasks requested by or through the Senior Driver.
Minimum Education / Experience
- High school diploma.
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
- At least six years of driving experience, with a minimum of two years in an international/multinational or development organization.
- Knowledge of Saudi Arabia driving rules and regulations.
- Technically sound in basic vehicle maintenance.
- Defensive driving training is an advantage but not required.
- Linguistic skills in English and Arabic.
