Commis 1 – Pastry - Bakery

As a Commis 1 in Pastry, you will assist the Pastry Kitchen team in preparing mise-en-place, items, and dishes for all outlets. Your primary responsibility will be supporting the Chef de Partie in daily pastry & bakery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing pastry & baking items, mise-en-place, and dishes.
  • Support the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of pastry & bakery techniques and preparation.
  • Familiarity with Food Safety standards, HACCP guidelines, and COSHH regulations.
  • Effective teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Good knife skills and familiarity with various culinary techniques preferred.
  • Highly motivated with a positive and proactive attitude.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year experience as a Pastry or Baker Commis Chef or in a similar role within a luxury hotel or resort.
  • Flexible with working hours and adaptable to team dynamics.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Culinary diploma or certificate preferred.
