A leading engineering firm in Malaysia seeks a candidate to oversee mechanical and electrical system installations. Responsibilities include developing project plans, supervising installations, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and may benefit from proficiencies in AutoCAD and PLC programming. Develop and review plans, drawings, and specifications for site/field works to align with project timelines and milestones.
Coordinate with client, contractors, and subcontractors to integrate M&E systems into the overall project plan.
Supervise and oversee the installation of mechanical and electrical systems, such as HVAC, piping and electrical wiring, ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety regulations with adherence to quality and timeline standards.
Inspect, troubleshoot, test & commission electrical systems and components to verify functionality, performance, and compliance with industry standards.
Maintain proper documentation for quality control and system performance records.
Oversee the testing and commissioning of all M&E systems to ensure they meet design intent and operational requirements.
Prepare and review handover documentation, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and certifications.
Maintain accurate records of site works, including progress reports, inspection reports, and material approvals.
Report to the project manager on site-related activities, including risks, delays, and proposed solutions.
Work with the project team to manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented.
Propose value engineering solutions to reduce costs without compromising quality.
Explore innovative technologies to enhance project outcomes and operational efficiency.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field (fresh graduates is encouraged)
Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar tools for reviewing M&E drawings is an added advantage.
Proficiency in PLC programming using TIA Portal, CX-programmer, etc. is an added advantage.
Have a knowledge and maintenance in low voltage equipment’s such as circuit breakers, step-down transformers, relays, contactors, sensors, transmitters, and PLC controller.
