We are representing a well-established manufacturer, looking for an Operations Director to be based in Melaka manufacturing plant.

Job Purpose

Oversee daily activities of the manufacturing operation teams for the plant to support business goals. Strategy of growth, safety, regulation compliance, quality and improvement program.

Job Responsibilities
  • Working closely with superior on decision making for operational activities and set strategic goals.
  • Plan and monitor the operation metrics KPI as process improvement, quality, operation effectiveness, production WIP and delivery.
  • Managing big teams from different departments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to the organizational objectives and apply improvements.
  • Communicate and explain new directives, policies, procedures to managers.
  • Coordinate and involve with R&D for new product release and timeline to achieve product quality and yield.
  • Coordinate with facilities and planner teams for business expansion, layout and resources.
  • Lead and motivate operations teams for work effectiveness and collaboration with cross functional teams.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum a Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of related experience is required for this role, preferably in high‑tech manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership in managing big teams, including managers.
  • Proven track record in managing operations efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Financial literacy (budgets, margins, cost analysis).
